The Shannon Residence stands as one of the most ambitious renovation projects Pecan Creek Construction has ever undertaken. The existing home was stripped to bare studs — walls removed, doors and windows taken out, two-thirds of the roof gone. Everything around the remaining structure was reframed to meet the latest structural codes. All plumbing and electrical was completely redone from scratch. What emerged is one of the finest remodels in North Texas. Key objectives include:

• Structural Transformation
  The scope of this renovation was extraordinary. Multiple load-bearing walls were removed, the entire framing was brought up to current structural code, and all mechanical systems — plumbing, electrical, and HVAC — were replaced entirely. The Shannon family came prepared with a clear vision: some on paper, some marked out with blue tape and marker on the existing walls. That level of preparation and collaboration made precise execution possible.
• Interior Design & Custom Spaces
  The finished interior is breathtaking. The home features a full game room and bar, a formal dining room, and a massive kitchen with a large butler’s pantry. The master bedroom is expansive, anchored by a stunning master bathroom with colors and finishes that stop you in your tracks. The master closet is so large it includes a center island for folding and storing laundry. Additional spaces include a craft room, a dedicated laundry room with built-in front-loading washer and dryer, a full dog wash, and a private office.
• Garage & Storage Innovation
  The two-car garage features a custom winch system that carries storage directly up into the attic above — a clever, space-maximizing solution that keeps the garage clean and functional year-round.
• Outdoor Living & Water Frontage
  The outdoor spaces are just as impressive as the interior. River rock landscaping flows across the yard leading to the water’s edge. Our Build Process

The Shannon Residence required solving problems most builders never encounter. Every phase demanded precision, creativity, and the kind of experience that only comes from years of custom construction in North Texas. Here is how we executed this transformation:

• Structural Releveling & Foundation Work
  The existing structure required complete releveling. In several areas we removed flooring down to bare dirt — rebuilding from the ground up where the existing foundation could not be saved. We tackled major drainage issues running both around and beneath the house, correcting years of water management problems before any new construction began. A new concrete slab was poured for the addition, new walls were framed, and the new roof line was carefully tied into the existing structure that remained.
• HVAC — Daikin Zone System
  A complete new AC system was installed for both upstairs and downstairs. We specified the Daikin zone system — a 20 SEER rated system that provides individual temperature control for different areas of the home. This level of efficiency and comfort control is one of the key upgrades that separates a truly high-end renovation from a standard remodel.
• Electrical & Plumbing Relocation
  All electrical and plumbing was moved and completely redesigned to meet the demands of the home’s new layout. The master shower received special attention — multiple independent faucet controls and LED backlit niches create a spa-like experience that blends seamlessly into the overall design.
• Custom Alder Cabinetry
  Hand-crafted custom alder cabinets with shaker style trim were installed throughout the home — elevating every space to a new standard. • Tile, Paint & Finish Selections
  The Shannon family’s selections were impeccably curated — tile and paint choices that complemented each other perfectly from room to room. Every detail was considered, right down to the custom monkey half bath with coordinating wallpaper that became one of the most talked-about spaces in the home.
• Final Finish Out & Handover
  The overall finish out — final decorating, trim details, and minor touches — brought everything together into a cohesive whole.
