Paradise, TX
Project Overview
Pecan Creek Construction built this custom home in Paradise, Texas. This distinctive residence blends Florida coastal charm with Texas architectural character — a truly one-of-a-kind build in Wise County, North Texas.
Project Goals
About This Project
The primary goal was to design a high-quality, energy-efficient home in Paradise, Texas that fuses architectural influences from both Florida and Texas. The client wanted design elements from their previous Florida home — including contemporary shutters and refined woodwork — brought to life in a North Texas custom build. Key objectives include:
- Structural & Energy Efficiency
This home was built for durability from the ground up. We used a high-strength engineered slab with 3,500 PSI concrete and framed with 2×6 lumber for superior insulation and structural integrity. All windows are double-pane and gas-filled, meeting the latest energy efficiency standards. - Exterior & Design Elements
The exterior features a board and batten finish with cedar accents for warm, rustic appeal. A three-car garage includes a flexible third bay designed to function as an exercise room or additional storage — built around how the family actually lives. - Interior Craftsmanship
The open-concept kitchen features stainless steel appliances, a double oven, premium white granite countertops, and a 3D-effect backsplash. A custom alder wood archway transitions into the coffee bar area. Cabinetry throughout uses full plywood backs, soft-close hardware, and custom finishes. The coffee bar cabinet features a signature two-tone design blending painted and stained wood in the same frame. - Living Spaces & Custom Features
The main floor includes an open living and dining area, a custom fireplace with detailed tile work and fine carpentry, a private office with sliding barn door, and a guest bedroom with an 8-foot seamless glass walk-in shower. - Upper Level & Master Suite
Upstairs features two children’s bedrooms, a shared bathroom, and a master suite with a generous walk-in closet. The master bath includes dual shower heads and a freestanding bathtub within a single luxurious enclosure. An upstairs laundry room adds everyday convenience.
By focusing on these goals, Pecan Creek Construction delivered a residence that perfectly balances Florida-inspired style with the craftsmanship and character of a North Texas custom home.
