Project Goals
About This Project
The Doyle Residence was designed from the ground up to meet the needs of a wonderful military family settling into their forever home in North Texas. With two children and a clear vision for how they wanted to live, Pecan Creek Construction designed a 2,319 square foot two-story home that puts everyday family life first. Key objectives include:
- Family-Centered Layout
The floor plan was purpose-built for this family. The main living areas, master bedroom, guest bedroom occupy the ground floor while the kids’ bedrooms, and a large upstairs playroom all sit on the second floor — giving the children their own space while keeping the family connected. A formal dining room off the kitchen and an open-concept living area create the perfect environment for everyday life and entertaining. - Impressive Living Spaces
Nine-foot ceilings run throughout the entire home. The living room features a large fireplace and oversized windows that flood the space with natural light. An open-face staircase with metal balusters and a wood handrail serves as an architectural centerpiece. An 8-foot iron front door makes a bold first impression from the moment you arrive. - High-End Kitchen & Appliances
The kitchen was built for a family that loves to cook and gather. It features a 48-inch professional range and a 60-inch refrigerator-freezer combo — appliances that anchor a kitchen designed for both function and style. The formal dining room off the kitchen completes the space. - Custom Details Throughout
Every detail was considered. A built-in central vacuum system runs throughout the home for effortless cleaning. A custom barn door connects the master bedroom to the master bathroom. Paint and textile selections were carefully curated by the Doyle family to achieve exactly the look and feel they envisioned — and executed to perfection by Pecan Creek Construction. - Exterior & Outdoor Living
One hundred percent brick exterior with a custom herringbone design detail requested by the homeowners gives this home a distinguished, timeless appearance. A large concrete driveway provides ample parking for guests and future shop access, leading into the two-car garage.
Designing and building a dream home for a military family is an honor Pecan Creek Construction takes seriously. The Doyle Residence is the result of that commitment — a beautiful, functional, forever home built to last.
Project Execution
Our Build Process
The Doyle Residence was a ground-up new construction build in North Texas. Every phase was executed with precision, meeting the latest building and energy codes while incorporating premium materials and techniques throughout. Here is how we built it:
- Engineered Slab & Foundation
We designed and poured an engineered slab with wind bracing to meet city structural requirements. The slab uses 3,500 PSI concrete — a higher strength mix that resists minor cracking over time and creates a solid, long-lasting foundation built for the Texas climate. - Framing & Building Envelope
The structure was framed with 2×4 lumber and wrapped completely with the Huber ZIP System — creating a tight, sealed building envelope that protects against moisture and air infiltration for decades of comfortable living. - Plumbing, Electrical & Energy Performance
All plumbing and electrical systems meet the latest 2018 mechanical and energy codes. The home passed a full blower door test confirming its airtight performance. We installed the latest tankless hot water technology with a recirculating loop — delivering instant hot water throughout the home while reducing energy consumption. - Hybrid Insulation System
We used a hybrid insulation approach combining spray foam and blown-in insulation for maximum thermal performance. Garage walls were fully insulated as well — keeping vehicles and stored items protected from the intense Texas heat year-round. - Brick Exterior & Herringbone Detail
One hundred percent of the exterior was finished in brick, with a custom herringbone pattern detail specified by the Doyle family. This level of exterior craftsmanship gives the home exceptional curb appeal and long-term durability with virtually no maintenance. - Final Finish Out & Handover
Paint, textiles, and all interior selections were laid out and executed to match the family’s vision precisely — including a custom-built barn door connecting the master bedroom to the master bathroom. A large concrete driveway was poured to accommodate the family’s future shop and provide generous guest parking. Every detail came together into an exciting, beautiful build — a dream come true for the Doyle family.
With a commitment to excellence, Pecan Creek Construction delivers custom homes that perfectly balance form, function, and long-term value — from the engineered slab to the final coat of paint.
